Decisions and documents
You can view decisions and letters Kela has issued to you in the OmaKela e-service. Go to Päätökset ja muut asiakirjat (Decisions and other documents) in OmaKela to view them. A paper copy of each decision notice will also be sent to your home address if you have not opted out of paper mail.
All documents sent to you will be available in OmaKela for six years. If you need a decision that was issued earlier, you can ask us to mail it to your home address. Send us a message in OmaKela or call our customer service.

Suomi.fi Messages is a service provided by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency where you can read messages sent by public authorities in electronic form. You can read the messages either in the Suomi.fi mobile application or at suomi.fi/messages.
Once you have activated Suomi.fi Messages, you will receive the majority of letters sent by the public authorities electronically instead of via paper mail. If you want Kela to send you decisions and letters only in electronic form, you must also opt out of paper mail in the OmaKela e-service.
Alerts for new messages will be sent to the email address you have on record in the Suomi.fi service. Those who use the Suomi.fi application can get alerts also via the application. If you do not use Suomi.fi Messages, you will be notified of new letters from Kela by an email message sent to the email address on record for you in OmaKela.
